Where will Chico call plays this year?

Finally, Byrd cannot be in the box as a coach calling plays.  He is a graduate assistant, if opposing teams got wind he was on the head-set calling formations and making plays they'd called the NCAA in a heart-beat.  This is a big deal, USF has to make sure by all eyes that Byrd appears to be a graduate assistant.  Look up the definition of grad assistant, but to paraphrase they are not allowed to hold any coaching decisions, or involved in operations.  There is some level of fudging but if we had Byrd on the head-set radioing to Chico every play......we could be in NCAA violation.  He can be up there mapping tendencies, keeping stats, watching sidelines, and players.  But he cannot be calling plays, and making coaching decisions.

FYI.

That does not mean he can not be in the box. Last year St Louis was in the box

I don't care where he is as long as he doesn't have Gregory's playbook.
