Cincy DESTROYED Southern Miss

Recommended Posts

Cincinnati will destr... ah hell, it stopped being funny weeks ago.

This is one of those "who's going to show up" games.  Both USF and Cinci are capable of being very good ball clubs at times, and at other times both seem to not players or the entire team not show up to the ball game.

The team that shows up to play, and brings their A game will win this one.   Cinci is on a tear right now, but I just don't think they have the team to sustain it.

We shall see, but there's no doubt that to beat Cinci we need to have two halves like the 2nd half we played against UAB.

In our corner... Hawaii doesn't want Cinci back on the island... if we both have six wins, we will be saying Aloha!

The good news is that if USF goes to Hawaii and UH wins a close one, the Bulls players may actually kill someone in the postgame fight if the Warriors pull their usual bad-winner routine.

If USF can get to 6-5, they'll go somewhere. The major conferences are so short on qualifiers this year, that CFN's weekly projections have TROY STATE getting an at-large bowl bid. Along with 2 or 3 MAC teams (beyond the 2 they have contracted).

But none of this matter if USF can't beat ECU this week.

GarySJ, I must admit I did not take that into account when thinking about bowl games.  I was only thinking about our 5 bowl allotment from CUSA.  Of course this is just wishful thinking at this point until they prove that they can win a couple in a  row.

CFN has 5 bowl slots not being filled by the contracted conference.  That sure does open it up for mid majors to go somewhere.

Also, all the bowl projections still have UF going somewhere (outback, tangerine, etc.).  If they lose to SC and FSU, they are 5-6 and going nowhere.

College football page at ESPN has a link calling the University of Southern Miss...SMU.  Freakin' unbelievable!  And they're the professionals.

Let's go South Carolina... take care of business! It will be so nice seeing UF fans watching us play in a bowl game while they sit at home! Go 'Cocks! It all starts with you!

Shocking, I can not imagine what happened in that game that USM would get beat that bad at home and have that many points scored on them.  Anyone have any insight into how it happened ?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
