it will be very difficult to tell how good Ford is until we know how good our OL is. what do you guys think? can he shine even with a bad OL (if OL never gels of course)? what if he doesnt produce but the OL is just awful... will we still say he has "potential"?

also, there are 120 D1 schools. I find it hard to believe that Matt Grothe is only better than 75% of them. but then again I am factoring in my expectation that he will limit his turnovers. also, i believe he is the best QB in the conference (yes I know who Pike is). how is the BEST qb in our conference still ranked lower than 30 other QBs out there? -confused-

I agree... our OL will be the key to making or breaking us this season.

you have no rational basis to make such  claim

a hall was so much better than ford

"you have no rational basis to make such  claim"  as Mr. Ford has yet to have single running attempt as a junior, which is when Mr. Hall began his production.

mike ford has shown he can take a game over when he gets 20+ carries.

obviously fumbling is an issue and leavitt's increadibly short leesh on RBs who fumble.

i dont care who it is but we need SOMEONE from the RB position to step up and OWN the starting spot

Canales sent in personnel on a lot of the playcalls...

Canales did not make the personnel calls on the running back position.  Just because he called out a players name and slapped him on his back as he was running into the game doesn't mean it was his call.
