seriously.  it was a good money maker and an easy way to sell out seats, at least.  and for many of those who claim that it wasn't a rivalry, those are the same people that despise UCF and are the happiest when they lose-- that is a definition of a bitter rivalry.  USF-UCF is like Colorado-Colorado State.. it's too bad we had to end it

Maybe when they accomplish something we'll re-visit it.  According to them, they'll be in a BCS conference very soon.  It could resume then.  Until then, I doubt it.

Keep in mind, most Bulls fans don't want them to lose because they feel a rivlary, it's because of all the disgusting and negative things they have said about USF football since it's inception.  Specifically the people on this board have heard such boasting, cajoling and insulting that they wish for nothing short of complete failure for UCF - they've earned it.

UCF has won a conference championship in football, which is something we have yet to do. Whether it is in Conference USA or whatnot doesn't matter. They also have more players in the NFL which speaks to the level of talent that comes out of the school. By no means am I negating the fact that the fans have big mouths and probably single-handedly ruined the series, but I wouldn't say they haven't accomplished anything.

Gosh, I hate to sidetrack this thread.

What have they accomplished that would make a win over them something of an accomplishment for USF?

Weigh that against what it does for their program and against USF's program with a loss. 

Personally speaking, a win over UCF does not excite me.  I've not traveled to a single one of the USF-UCF games.  Routinely beating up your little sister doesn't make you a prize fighter.
