Taurus Johnson, WR, South Florida. Johnson shows the quick footwork to accelerate and reach full speed in a blink and the speed to separate on downfield routes. His quickness and agility helps him change directions to create space. He shows the hands, leaping ability and concentration to go up high and catch passes over cornerbacks and safeties.

– South Florida WR Taurus Johnson: Did not catch my attention on the first day but started off very well on Tuesday. Caught the ball well several times in traffic and won the majority of his one-on-one match-ups. Still not sure of his straight-line speed, but he showed some suddenness and an ability to make catches in tight coverage.

Taurus Johnson

(South Florida) was barely noticeable yesterday, and he started slow today, with a few drops. Once today’s practice got going, Johnson flashed great hands and very crisp breaks in his routes and after the catch. Some of Johnson’s moves drew audible responses from the crowd, and he became a favorite of the East QBs as the practice went on. Johnson’s saavy route running and double moves also stood out, as did his sprawling catch that qualified as one of the highlights of day two. He is making the most of being a Shrine Game participant, and if he keeps playing this way, his stock will be on the rise.

Why we didn't use him more often this year is beyond me.

because our OC is a fool, and we seem to think its a good idea to play 6 RB and 20 WR's each game

heh...ouch.  Never knew who's fault it was that Taurus didn't get the ball more, whether it was his or the coach's.

He may not have gotten the ball because every time a play was designed for him, he blew it up with a false start???

owned.

TJ could have been standout if our coaches understood the value of identifying go-to guys and getting them the ball... or if our QB were better at putting the ball in a position the receivers could do something with it.

What?  I don't remember him having an unusual amount of false starts.

Not to defend Coach Gregory.  But before he was named OC, I think they always went with a rotating offense. Mainly at WR. I Think.  :-\

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
