He was invited to Florida Flame training camp in Estero after an open tryout Saturday. The article is at www.news-press.com. It also says he's heading to the police academy if he doesn't make the team.

Wonder what Jimmy could have done with his basketball career if he had focused all his time and energy into it.

Wonder why he always offers an "if this doesn't work out, this is what I'll do instead" comment at the start of each new endeavor.

I hope Jimmy doesn't cross Tackleberry while he's at the Academy.

;D

If he spent 24 hours a day on basketball Jimmy's basketball career would have ended up outside the dome on the intramural courts.  He maybe even would have been one of the better players out there if he applied himself.  Those rims are VERY unforgiving.

Jimmy was not a basketball bust he was an athletic kid that Seth loved that is it he wasnt a very good shooter or ball handler.  He was able to stay on the floor because of his athletic ability not his basketball talents.

In nutshell that describes Jimmy Baxter's 31/2 year career at USF.

Seth was all about recruiting athletes to play basketball. The difference with CRM is that he is recruiting basketball players first.

Another 1-15 season might make me say screw recruiting basketball players and go back to recruiting athletes. Maybe Seth did do something right  :o

Recruiting Athletes isnt a bad thing. That is when you are only recruiting one or two not the whole team. I think Coach Mac will be fine, seems to be heading in the right direction. Seth did his job here now lets let Coach Mac get the chance to succeed. Hope JB succeeds as well in whatever he chooses to do, I dont think he was a disapointment. Yes he did quit the team, but truthfully he had a better chance with Track then he did with Basketball surprised he stuck with it as long he did. But like I said JB good luck in whatever you decide to do!

GO BULLS!!!!
