yeah that's what I suspected. Shoot I don't care if the team is USC, LSU or Miami....nobody should be able to score every time they touch the ball.

congrats on your win btw, and excuse me if I sound bitter after that game.

Just out of curiousity, Army scored 35 points in the second half and I can't recall any punts...was there a single possession in the second half that Army didn't score? Just pathetic losing to frickin Army.

PJ is not a D1 QB.  Our receivers play scared.  Our offensive playcalling was not the problem

Yes are offense did enough to win! 35 points and over 400 yds of offense should be good enough with a decent defense. Our defense just did not support our lead in the 2nd half. Bottom Line!!!!!

The offense should not be expected to score every drive!

Our receivers play "scared" b/c they never get the ball thrown to them. The only way you can improve is with game day experience and repetition. The young receivers have been waiting for two years for someone to throw them the **** ball.

I know that there were two TDs left on the board from the USF offense. The 2nd and goal interception by Julmiste and the dropped TD pass to Peyton. That was 14 points that were there for the taking, but the offense did not take advantage. Also, that fumble by Chambers really killed our chances to keep up with ARMY. Who knows if the offense scores on that drive to tie the game up. The defense was pretty tired at that point, so I knew ARMY would go up by 14 points.

Offense did better than the defense.

When you put up 35, you really ought to win, D.

Playcalling was also an issue.  It cost us a TD by throwing at the 2 yard line when we could have ran it in.  Heck, i remember a drive where we didnt call a single pass and marched the field for a TD.

Exactly.  All three of these plays had everything to do with horrible, gutless playing and nothing to do with coaching.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
