USC trounced a ridiculously overrated OSU, without the god Beanie Wells playing.

At this point, it's almost like NCSU "upseting" ECU.

not really satisfied with being below USC.  We get knocked down for a less than stellar win against FIU.  USC sould get blasted for a loss to Oregon State.

Still behind USC in AP, but only by 52 votes.  That will change next week when we beat Pitt handily.

And Alabama gets love in the AP...#2 and over LSU like they should be.  They look very tough this year.

I was expecting 9th, but oh well...I'll take 10  ;D  I was kinda worried the voters would have Ohio St. leapfrog us.

USC wins big next week they jump back up near the top 5. They should set a system up where everyone votes like they do now, then for every loss you have you get a certain amount of points deducted. There is no reason why USC should be in the top 10 rght now.

They aren't going to move us too far, too fast.  We made them look stupid last year when we promptly lost 3 in a row after they ranked us #2.

BYU has beaten teams with a combined record of 5-14.  USC beat a team without their best player and uncertainty at QB.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
