I think Utah beats BYU anyway.  Just too many people to replace on defense.

I said this in the rankings thread, but don't count out the possibility of two BCS teams from the Big East. USF is starting high enough in the polls and their schedule sets up in such a way that they could go 10-2 and still get an at-large BCS bid.

I don't know about getting two BCS bids..

First, we know that the SEC and Big 12 will get 2 teams each... so that leaves just two more at-large slots.

Second, between Fresno State, Utah, and BYU, I can see one of those three (or maybe Boise State) making another run at the mid-major slot.  Notre Dame won't win the nine-games required to be eligible.

So that leaves just one at large slot for a team from the Pac 10, Big 10, and Big East.  (No way the ACC get's two teams into the BCS).

Will Oregon or Arizona State finish strong enough behind USC?  Can Wisconsin or Illinois finish with only a loss to Ohio State?

Sure, footballs bounce funny sometimes (See 2007)... but I don't see USF as a second Big East pick if there are alternatives from the Pac 10 or Big 10 available.

JMHO.

You know BYU fans are saying...Dammit, I don't want to lay USF. I want to play an Oklahoma or USC.

I guess we have something in common

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
