I agree.  I hope we get at least one of those QBs.

I'll take a stab. Let's see....

Eugene Smith

Juno Prudhomm

Ryan Becker

Trevor Wooden

Nico Raineri

Let me know if I missed one.  I hope no one is counting on Aaron Murray.  He won't sign here.  Also, no realistic shot at out of staters.

YOURE WRONG . Our best chance could be with an out of stater .

The 3 "top QBs" I was talking about  was :

Eugene Smith

Tate Frocier ( CALI )

Kevin Newsome ( VA )

I am talking  about Top guys  here, on the National Level .

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound four-star signal caller says that none of the schools that have offered stand out at this point and still remains open to any and all comers

I’d like to hear from South Florida because I really, really like their offense. Again, I love that shotgun package, so I hope they get in contact with me at some point soon here

http://recruiting.scout.com/2/735384.html

Newsome passed for 1200 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior. He also ran for over 500 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.

He maxes out with a 285-pound bench, 370-pound squat and 280-pound power clean. In the classroom Newsome carries a 3.52 core GPA.

Newsome is also a track star, with a personal best of 14.1 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles and 7.5 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles, both times taken as a sophomore.

Update: Newsome won the state championship in March of 2008 for the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.35 seconds

USF lands big commitment

Posted: Monday March 10, 2008 06:54AM ET

Dunedin (Fla.) junior running back Adaris Bellamy, expected to be one of the top backs in the state in the fall, became USF's first oral commitment for 2009 when he gave a pledge to football coach Jim Leavitt on Saturday. Bellamy, 5-foot-10 and 219 pounds, already had offers from Clemson and Mississippi, and was being recruited by other top-tier schools, but he was sold on USF after visiting the Bulls' first practice Wednesday with Dunedin coach Mark Everett.

If I'm not mistaken, this would be the earliest someone has verballed to us. Bellamy beat Hawkins from this year's class to the punch. I know verbals mean squat until signing day, but this really makes me think we are starting to make some head-way in recruiting. It just takes time, patience, and donors.

I think Jarred Fayson beat bellamy by a long shot, but that didn't stick.
