Yeah.  I read that he picked up a USF hat and set it back down as a way to tease the crowd of people he assumed to be his admirers.  He then placed the OSU hat on his head. . . . cute.

Just like with the little league world series, media saturation will obliterate the recruitment process until it is a just a display of egomaniacal kids acting like as#holes.

Shows the lack of class by some of these kids' parents.  No way in hell I would've done that when i was being recruited and no way my kids will do that either.  Having the different caps is fine to show respect for who was close, but pick up the one you go with and thank the others that recruited you.  These kids need more Barry Sanders and less TO...

Take it easy, i think its funny once.  some times people do it too much.

I remember at the UA game, there was a recurit that had three hats, a gator a USC, and uhm another hat.  He slide two away and it looked like he was down to UF, but then lifted the hat only to show a sooner hat.  I thought that was pretty funny.

Let the kids have fun.

You can have fun and still have class.  Those who don't think these are classless acts probably don't understand what having class means.  You don't see the kids who come from parents with good educations doing this.  But hey, they don't know any better so I won't hang it over their heads forever.  No, if anything, I pity them that their sole exposure on how to conduct themselves comes from reality tv and music videos...

Whats wrong with lifting a USF hat, then putting it down for an OSU hat.  What shows little class with that?

Coming down to OSU or us ....... whodathunkit 5 years ago (except for the Green and Gold goggle gang). People need to try and not be so sensitive on stuff like this.

MikeG, at 17 or 18 we're now saying we don't expect kids to have class at that age?  Geez.  You know a personality is formed at 7 right?  Training someone how to conduct themselves is well over by 17 or 18.  At that age, the only part they should be working on so to speak is their final growing spurt and refining their skills.  Etiquette should've been defined years prior.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
