What is the deal with us and WVU???

I have never seen teams whose performance can vary from A to F during  a season and from week to week.

Last night WVU looked incredible against us and Pitt they looked horrible - like it wasn't even the same team.

We look great against Auburn and WVU then look like crap in other games.

I have seen teams have bad days - defensive breakdowns etc. - but never look like a National Champion 1 week and an absolute embarrassment the next week.

football is a game of matchups and mental preparation.  statistics on paper from week to week don't tell the whole story.

USF matches up well against the lateral speed of WVU.  we match up like **** against the size of Oregon's line and J. Stewart (or Rutgers and Ray Rice).

the Pitt game is where mental preparation comes in.  WVU had a brainfart plain and simple.  they played Pitt like we played Oregon--- sleepwalking.

Oklahoma throttled UM, A&M, beat Mizzou twice, but loses to a 6-7 Colorado team and blown out badly by WVU.

You gotta show up each week to really be the best.
