Bowl Payouts

Ok

I thought each bcs conf would get a bcs game (not including the natl championship game) thus forcing them to take uconn if wvu made it to the title game but guess I am wrong

Sorry.  The NCG is a "BCS game"... so there are 10 slots... 6 automatic winners regardless of BCS standing, 2 possibly automatic based on standing (Notre Dame if Top 8, mid-major if Top 12 or Top 16 and ahead of one of the 6 -- may not happen this year)....

The remaining 2 to 4 slots may only be filled by a team from the Top 14, provided no conference gets more than two bids.

right-- so my point was that the only way to get two BE teams in BCS bowls would be UConn beating WVU, and having WVU stay ranked high enough in the BCS to still get a BCS bowl.

I hear you but I think it would do more for the conferences perception to play in the ncg rather than two bcs games

Money wise of course it would be better to have 2 bcs games

Could you imagine if a BE won the ncg and their only loss was to us

Would be great and really tough at the same time knowing we are better than them but not as consistent as them.

even if WVU wins out--- I get the impression they are not going to get the nod for the NCG

I think they will get screwed somehow--- so I am going for the lesser or two evils and hoping for the larger wheel barrow of cash

how far is El Paso from Phoenix? Is it drivable?

I may work it into a visit to my brother and road trip with the Bulliever (if he will have me that is)

Don't forget the International Bowl.......which may be our destination.

Sun Bowl is only a possibility for us if UConn beats WVU and both get a BCS bid, else UConn is going to the Sun Bowl.

Cincy is a lock for the Papa Johns bowl.

Rutgers is likely going to the Meineke Bowl.

USF is likely going to the International Bowl.

I think Rutgers and USF should flip flop spots but I don't think the Meineke wants us back with only a 1 year absence.

FSU vs USF in the Meineke would bring at least 10,000 USF fans.

I doubt both UConn and WVU get into a BCS bowl if UCONN wins, i see Gator asking WVU if they lose and sun asking UCONN if they lose.

Also, why would the International Bowl ask USF?  If it comes down to USF or Cincy in the international, they piick cincy, closer, and how many bulls fans would want to see us play in Toronto against a non  BCS conferance foe.

I ain't going to Canada - crap our dollars don't even go far their.

Charlotte, J'ville, or Birmingham is it for us.

I say if wvu wins out and that means 2 of their last 3 wins came against top 2d teams they would get the nod over oh st

Of course this is all based on kansas losing to mizzou or oklahoma

Even if mizzou beats kansas and then ok they might get passed up but that is less likely
