I remember reading...probably close to two years ago now...that the money for a new track and soccer stadium (as well as a practice track) had been allocated.  I thought I remembered reading that the construction was supposed to begin after last seasons soccer season...

What happened to this project?  Is the money still there...and will it be started anytime soon?  Perhaps Eric, Greg, or Brett can shine some light on the issue...

I heard recently that they were about to break ground. I think it was in Greg's blog.

Would be nice if the seating didn't go up so high... instead of having 40 rows up (just a guess) that it would have 20 rows up and let the stands wrap around the field and track more.

are they knocking down the current soccer stadium & re-building there? If not, what are they going to do with the current facility.

When is softball going to get their new pad, they gotta have the worse facility of all the sports.

It's due to break ground as soon as track is finished in the spring.  The main changes are going to be a new track that will be wider than the current one, allowing for the soccer field to not go right up against the track.  Remember soccer will be playing their temporarily until we have raised the funds for the new soccer stadium which we are in the process of doing.
