B Williams wouldn't have done that today.

I've been saying it all freaking year and FINALLY:

Give the ball to Mike Ford!!!

Why did it take until week freaking week 10 to realize this?????

Wanna bet? Aston Samuels basically took his place and ran for another 100 yards on about three carries. Almost anyone USF could have put back there was going to run well against the Orange. Their defense front was horrible.

The reverses to Samuels were a great wrinkle in the play calling today. That's a nice weapon to have on that play.

I like Ford as well but Ben would have put up the same numbers against SU's lousy defense. SU's run defense is 102nd out of 119.

I like Ben Williams, I just wish they would use him differently.

Ben is a terrific catching the ball.  I wish they would convert him to WR next year.  They could use his blocking skills downfield too.  Maybe use him for K/Punt returns.  He's a hard worker with great skills but not at RB.  He's too good.  He can contribute on the team elsewhere.  I like Ben, but not at RB.

On the Leavitt show today they showed the second to last play of the Cincy game (where Carlton dropped the ball).  Ben absolutely blew up the Cincy linebacker who was blitzing.  The guy was dazed from the hit and stumbled backwards.  If you still have it on your DVR watch it again.  He does a great job picking up the blitzes.

Problem is Ben's only 5'7". You don't want the DB to be taller than your receiver.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
