I can't wait until the day Mike Ford gets 25 carries routinely.  He seemingly falls forward for 5 yards everytime.

Yes, but remember guys, he doesn't fit with Greg Gregory's "Maple Leaf Offense."

You know......waste first down with a play that is sure to go for no-gain or a loss of yardage, then have only two downs to work with before another punt.

Just like in the CFL.

Mike Ford generally gains 4-6 yards on first down, and that does not fit our scheme. 

I think our coaches should advise him to transfer back to Alabama.

Why do our coaches never give straight answers to the tough questions, why is one of the best recruits to come to USF sitting on the bench, Why is one of the biggest players (wr, rb, qb position) 6"2 230lbs NOT PLAYING.

Ford not getting more reps  wasnt the problem the execution by the offense was.  We could have had Herschel Walker out there and it wouldnt have mattered the way the offense was executing.

I agree the overall offense sucked, but the reality is the only drive of the game where we looked like a real offense was the one where Ford was in there.  Don't get so carried away with the stats.  He was moving the ball for good solid yardage on first down whenever he ran straight ahead.  Why you would try to run a delay off tackle with him at the 2 yard line is almost as bizarre as the naked bootleg called at the same position on the field last week.

Do you know what REALLY changed on that drive?  THE PLAYCALLING, like you hinted at.  Rather than running those ridiculous draws and reads we actually tried a little variety.  And it worked.  Again, I'm not anti-Ford but as was mentioned before, the personnel at RB is not what's making the difference right now.  I understand people would like to think it's such a quick fix that just plugging in Ford the whole game would make it all better but sadly that is not the case.  Ford is our best runner, but there is so much more to playing RB and it is so very short sighted to think he is the solution to all our problems (not saying you said that, but many others are implying it).

Reality check people.  Grothe is not the problem.  Lack of Ford is not the problem.  "Grothe left, Grothe right, Williams draw, punt" is the problem.
