Sure you can.  Just don't ask them to have to block for 5 seconds.  Quick hit slants and screens relieve them from needing to hold their blocks for long.  if they are penetrating, let them go.  Drop a screen over their heads and let the Ol take out the smaller LBs and DBs.

Running back play should be added to the Ugly category.  Taylor and Williams combined for 16 carries....12 of those carries resulted in 2 yards or less.  Several of those were no gain or loss of yardage.  A big run once in a while is not controlling the ball.  Especially considering we outweighed their DL by almost 60lbs per man.

Our Mistakes:

1. 2 missed FG's / 1 Blocked

2. Unable to stop a fake FG and PUNT (1 Returned for TD)

3. Shot ourselves in the foot with penalties...

4. I'll say it again, "GROTHE, THROW THE FRI*$*N' BALL AWAY!!!"

5. Punt turnover on 25yd and could not convert into points?

6. Fumble recovery on 40yd and coule not turn into points?

7. No pressure on Teel via Selvie and crew

Rutgers Gems:

1. Ray Rice sliced and diced through our defense

2. Had nothing to lose, so why not run a fake punt...Everyone in the stadium knew a fake FG was coming, where was our coaching staff on this one?

3. Sosa did a great job in containing Selvie

4. Defense put constant pressure on Grothe preventing him from seeing wide-open WR as well as containing the scramble

5. Ito!  Jesus Christ!  This kid is killing me!

people have said Alvarado is a good punter all year. why? he's not that good. several touchbacks and none of the other ones were booming or anything special. very average when he's at his best. especially last night

i didnt see many plays being made by grothe.he took too many sacks

Run game from the RBs is a bad right now.  Even when he was bottled up Rice found a way to move forward 3 and 4 yards minimum.  They had a lot of 3rd and 3s and less.  Our first down runs were always at or behind the line and we had 3rd and long all night.  Not a good recipe for ball control.  Our offensive line outweighed their Dline by almost 60 pounds on average.  I'm clueless why we couldn't play smash mouth power football instead of going off tackle all night.  Let them bring the LBs and safeties up.  A play action pass once in a while opens that up.

 we were catching passes down the stretch.  we drove up the field and brought it within 3, got a three and out and drove it AGAIN only to get petty flags.

u can have all the heart in the world, but heart doesnt overcome called back TD's and flags on clutch plays.
