We don't. Personally I'd like to see them knock off West Virginia to save his job and practically gift-wrap the conference for us, assuming we take care of business.

I keep an eye on the Pitt Rivals forum. From what I'm reading, they don't really have an Athletic Director at the moment, so nobody's going to step up and fire the guy. So we get to kick around Wannstedt for at least one more year.  he wants an extension so he can recruit.

The other factor here is the Pitt community's unrequited love of "Pitt Guys." Those twerps would love Osama Bin Laden if he was a "Pitt Guy." They want him to do well, so they're kinda closing their eyes and hoping he figures it out, despite his 13-year track record of not figuring out anything.

There's also a lot of people hoping Pitt will fire Wannstedt's coordinators, but I don't see that happening, and I don't know how that would help anyway.

Seriously, that Navy game was friggin' awful. Pitt's defense looked like they'd never seen an option attack before. Can you imagine what West Virginia will do to them?
