Bianchi’s comments are stemming from delusions of grandeur.

Last year before the USF-UCF game Bianchi was bashing USF.  His articles were apparently used as locker room material to motivate the USF players.  CJL even mentioned his disgust for Bianchi’s comments.  After the game, Bianchi wrote another article which essentially said “wow, I did that?â€Â.

He thinks his comments are going to have an impact on the outcome of the game.  This time, he is trying to give the UCF players as much fuel as possible.  Those comments are his way of supporting the local team in Orlando.  Don't be fooled.

Trust me, Bianchi doesn't concern himself with supporting the local team.  He was hired by the Slantinel with a reputation for being controversial.  Controversial sells newspapers. He could care less who wins the game, as long as he is firing someone up so they can talk to someone else about how they need to read his article.
