I cant figure out why Matt dosent throw the ball higher to Amari. He has atleast 5 or 6 inches over most of the DB's that cover him.

Let your reciever make a play.

Maybe so the ball won't have as far to fall after he drops it! ;)

Was that too cruel?  I haven't written him off yet, but he does need to improve there a little bit.

Don't know what game you were watching, but Amarri played great on Saturday.  Not only did he lead the team in receptions and yardage, he made a key block on Ben's long TD run.  Team player.

Yes, I was watching the FAU game.  But one good game does not erase the fact that he's had issues with holding onto the ball during kick returns (earlier in the season) or passes.  C'mon, you have to admit that he's done it at least enough to warrant a little ribbing - and that's all I'm doing.  Remember I said I haven't written him off yet and hope he has good games throughout the rest of the season.

Amarri is having a pretty bad year, but all year he has been doing a great job of blocking down field.

Jackson drops passes that go into his chest.  He catches the ones where he has to extend his arms.

Typically, a QB is taught not to throw over a receivers head. If they do, and it is tipped, it could have some serious hang time before hitting the ground (hopefully). You really don't want the ball tipped in the air like that, good things do not come out of those situations.

On the deep balls, I am OK with throwing high (and that may have been your question), but anything where there is anyone behind him, he needs to keep the ball down.

Amarri is going to do big things for us before the end of the season. I just have a feeling.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
