singing the alma mater

Just curious,

Can we get someone to sing the alma mater... something similar to the national anthem? I think it would really help in students in learning it.

Well, nobody knows when to START singing the alma mater and nobody knows how to follow the lyrics to the music they put on the screen. If there is someone leading the song over the PA system, then I think everyone could follow along with the screen lyrics.

I was in the University Singers, too (although a number of years before you) and I agree that it's a matter of everyone learning it.  Have it sung a few times until everyone gets it.

If you stay until after the game the band plays the Alma Mater. The words start right after the intro. When the trumpets come in, thats when the words start.

Even though they did not do it while I was in school, the Univeristy should make every student learn it in the Univeristy Experience class.
