I said the reason they hunt is not for food. You'd think they'd stop if for some reason they couldn't eat what they killed? .... Not likely. How serious can you take the guy who self proclaims to be the best point guard in the nba, but every team he leaves succeeds and every team he goes to sucks. another delusional cat. Marbury, Portis and Vick need some schooling on how to talk to the media. http://cbs.sportsline.com/nba/story/10313649 NEW YORK -- New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury defended Michael Vick, calling dogfighting a sport and comparing it to hunting. Marbury spoke Monday about the federal dogfighting conspiracy charges against Vick while promoting his basketball shoe in Albany, N.Y. "I think it's tough," Marbury said, according to Albany TV station Capital News 9. "I think, you know, we don't say anything about people who shoot deer or shoot other animals. You know, from what I hear, dogfighting is a sport. It's just behind closed doors." On Monday, Vick said through a lawyer that he will plead guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and conspiracy to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture. He also faces possible prosecution in Virginia. "I think it's tough that we build Michael Vick up and then we break him down," Marbury said. "I think he's one of the superb athletes, and he's a good human being. I just think that he fell into a bad situation." AP NEWS The Associated Press News Service Copyright 2006-2007, The Associated Press, All Rights Reserved To be honest, he didn't compare slaughtering dogs to hunting, he compared dog fighting to hunting and if you actually think about, they're not that far off in the oveall scheme of things .... at least, the dogs have a fighting chance. Where the outctry is in all this is the way Vick disposed of the dogs he no longer needed. You have to have a sick need to do what he did to those dogs ... allegedly. Lets see in one your killing a wild animal with a gun, bow , knife, etc. The other you have to horribly mistreat a dog and train it to get to kill another. These pit bulls aren't preprogrammed you have to teach them to kill bait dogs, and alot of time they are starved before matches to make them crazy/blood thirsty. Hunting is humane most of the time as the animal doest suffer too much while in dog fighting the animal is basically being skinned alive, yup totally fair comparison :

Hunting is more humane than dog fighting but, bottom line, in both cases, animals are being killed for entertainment.

Leaves the courtroom smiling and singing, i can totally see that. Class isnt only something you attend. Cmon Steph!http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3016522NEW YORK -- Knicks guard Stephon Marbury testified Wednesday in the case of a fired team executive who has accused coach Isiah Thomas of sexual harassment, calling the lawsuit absurd while downplaying an encounter with a drunken intern. After hearing about the lawsuit brought by Anucha Browne Sanders, "I laughed," Marbury said in U.S. District Court. "It was more of a joke than anything."Marbury admitted he once called Browne Sanders a "*****," though he insisted, "I didn't have a reason not to like her."Browne Sanders says she is owed her vice president position back and at least $10 million for enduring a sexually harassing workplace for five years. Her lawsuit claims she was fired "for telling the truth" about vulgarity and unwanted advances by Thomas, also a team president. Thomas has denied the allegations.Taking the witness stand earlier Wednesday, Browne Sanders wept while telling the jury of five women and three men that Marbury and his cousins, also Madison Square Garden employees, were part of the problem. The plaintiff cited a conversation with an MSG intern who confided that she was having a relationship with one of the cousins and had gotten drunk on an outing to a Manhattan strip club in April 2005 that included Marbury. The intern claimed that afterward Marbury lured her into his vehicle for sex, Browne Sanders said."She said she basically did whatever he asked her to do and she considered it to be consensual because she got in the car," Browne Sanders testified. When he took the stand, Marbury admitted pulling up and asking the intern, "Are you going to get in the truck?" He said she answered, "Yes."U.S. District Judge Gerard E. Lynch cut off any more questioning on the encounter, saying more details wouldn't help the jury decide the case. After Marbury finished testifying, he rode down 23 floors in a crowded elevator, saying to no one in particular: "Money makes you do crazy things, man."Then he left the courthouse, smiling and singing a song out loud. When pressed to divulge more about his relationship with the intern, he instead commented cheerfully on a reporter's shoes.Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press
