...  Grothe was the best freshman QB in the nation last year.  What questions are left?

...

Don't think anyone is riled.

If there was a national poll, McCoy would be a far #1.

Did you guys see the list ? Most of those guys don't have much to prove in most opinions.

Grothe (and USF) were overlooked in my opinion.

I can see that Grothe needs to improve things ... what FR wouldn't ? I have questions, but have no doubt they will be answered in the form of 30 TD's.  ;D

Most of the reading national public don't think of Grothe being a Top QB ... or USF for that matter.

Most of the comments tend to be a little negative; if Grothe were mentioned ET would write and complain about the comment.

I imagine if he were listed it would look like this;

Matt Grothe: USF -Question: can he stay healthy?

Well I happy he did not make the list.

Sometimes, I completely disagree with how our fans get riled up when USF isn't mentioned in some opinion article.  This is one of those times.  MG showed his mettle last year.  He fought through some serious adversity and succeeded.  Just because you think he shoudl be included in every single list out there doesn't mean that he will be.  this oversight is so minor that it is laughable that people are riled up over it.  To be honest, I think emailing the author on this is bush league, and doesn't represent the Bull Nation well.

I completely agree

Yeah, you were so not riled up that you fired off an e-mail to the writer about it.

Grothe has nothing to prove; he's already good and has no associated controversy.  He only needs to cut down on a few poor desicions, which will all come with age.  Heisman 2009.

FYI ... my email "fired off" was not in anger ... simply a question.

And received an honest reply. I have emailed him many times over the past few years and usually get a reply, if warranted.

Hope some can rest assured that I haven't harmed our national perception  ;D

Go BULLS !!!

Lets not bash E.T. b/c he thought Grothe was overlooked.  I wish many of the USF Alumni had half the love that E.T. has for USF.  Keep up the good fight, E.T.
