Lake Gibson High School's offensive tackle Josh Garvin (6'4" 280lbs), and Lake Gibson High School's DE James Jones (6'2" 230lbs) have officially commited to USF.  They just got off the phone with coach Burnham about 15 minutes ago.  We've been after these 2 for quite a while, and couldn't be more excited to continue the trend of great recruits out of #8's alma mater (and mine for that matter).  I'll go ahead and say "you're welcome", since Josh is my cousin and I threatened to cast him out of the family if he went to one of the big sec schools that offered.  I'd like to give serious props to the usf coaching staff for rolling out the red carpet for these 2...I went with Josh on his official visit a few weeks ago, and was blown away by the entire experience.

There is enough talent in the Bay area to win a national title.  Glad to see USF hit the 863 again.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
