Yes, I remember that squirrel incident, early to mid 90s right?

Actually, I was there in 2003 when it happened....sounds like it has happened more than once!

I wasn't in Cooper, but I do think I remember hearing about something like this in '03 as well.

I have to be honest... as long as everyone was out of harm's way, leveling Cooper Hall with a bomb isn't such a bad idea. At least then they could build a replacement building. Cooper Hall is right up there with HMS and the Chemistry building as the ugliest and most rickety buildings on campus.

If I remember correctly, didn't the Chem building get renovated around the time of the Natural and Environmental Sciences building? I know I had a College Algebra class in the Chem building for Fall 2003, but I think they began renovation after that.

Last time I was on campus (during winter break last year), I saw they had at least repainted the Chemistry building. Whether they did any renovations to it, I don't know.

I definitely think it was renovated, last time I saw it it was gutted.

Yes the chem building was gutted and completely redone inside. The auditoriums are another story.

Quick-fried, extra-crispy squirrel has happened twice, once in the '90s and then in 2003. The earlier one was the longer delay because it went campus-wide -- plus, it gave the Phys Plant experience for the 2003 incident.
