I liked this quote:

"The Bucs' playbook was difficult, and me coming from the University of South Florida, where it was seven plays -- run right, run left, block this, block that -- it was tough for me. At junior college, we had nine, 10 plays, max, and it was kind of tough for me to adjust to it, but now that I'm relaxed, calm, and not so jittery and anxious, I can get it done."

When I figured out more ways to get him the ball on my PlayStation than the actual offensive coordinator did... that's not good.

If the NFL doesn't work out, he could definitely play in the CFL or AFL

I hope he stays with the NFL - he needs the exposure!

Which is why that dufus is now a QB coach at another team and basically had to beg for that position too.  I sure hope Gregory is as good as he appears to be...HC at Army and OC at three different places means he can't be as bad as Smith.  It had to tear at his heart everyday listening to chub rock call the plays.

Only 7 plays???

Is Rod Smith missing 3 fingers that I didn't know about?

My High School coach told us of once having a receiver with great physical gifts, but a little light on the mental side.   After the QB called the play in the huddle he would hold up one, two or three fingers for this receiver so the guy would know what to do.    My coach was a forty year, hall of fame, type coach and claimed this guy was one of the best players he had ever coached in spite of his limitations.

This post is in no way meant as a reflection of Andre, who I am sure most remember as being very bright with a love for kicking butt on the chess board as well as the football field.

Theres only so many ways a RB can get the ball.  7 seems like a small number, but its probably a little higher than that.  The really good teams only need a handful of plays.  How many did Nebraska have/need with Tommy Frazier?  Remember this is pre Grothe, so the passing game was basically non existant.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
