45,000 seats for $54 mill. to open in 2008 vs. USF Bulls.

So we will get the chance to compare UCF's and FIU's stadiums. certaintly both are within our range IF we ever decide to build our own.

Its ridiculous that a team that goes 0-12 in the 2006 season gets rewarded with a brand new OCS. Yet, USF doesn't think that the bulls need one.

Good for them....it's a commitment to D1 football.  Hopefully, it will help their attendance and they can be considered a legitimate D1 program.  You'd have to think their two greatest accomplishments to this point have been:  1.  the Miami Brawl and 2. Almost beating USF.   Thank God we can include the word "almost".

;D

And almost as crasy as a 1AA team playing in one of the best NFL stadiums.

Why do people 4get that it takes money to build these things and we have higher priorities . . .  :P

When we have more fans, we'll build a stadium that is much better than the other two recent state stadiums.

Those that want it quicker, put more of a donation to USF in your budget.

Why do other teams somehow "find" money to build ocs and we can't.  Sure there are other priortities.  EVERY school has them, and I don't see it stopping them from "finding" money for an ocs.  This is a tired poor excuse.  If it was a priority, money would be found asap.  Unfortunately, it is not right now with rjs available.

its not a priority when we have softball playing on an intramural fieild, baseball needs a new stadium as well, soccer and track and field need new ones, football still needs those practice fields, and we still need to renovate the Sundome with the basketball complex, as well as the new varsity tennis courts.  After those things are finished, then we can talk about a OCS, until then be happy with RJS.

I also believe the motto is if we are going to build it we are going to build it right, I am sure whatever USF were to design would cost no near $54 million you are probably looking at triple that amount for USF's OCS.

PS: Big Talk of the Hurricanes moving to Dolphins Stadium

They should surround the football field with the track for our OCS...just a thought. That could save money and space.
