This makes sense(and looks pretty decent):

THIS, on the other hand, is ridiculous(WTF?!):

1st yellowish/greenish helmets in football and now GRAY sleeves in baseball. Are they just making things up as they go or what?!  ::)

Gray is traditionally the away color of jerseys... maybe they were trying to integrate them a little bit?

Does your underwear always match your shirt?  Geez...

It seems they were those uniforms on top about 85% of the time.  Those other jerseys are pretty sweet though in person.

Side note, I think I've only seen them wear white one time and that was early in the season.  Not sure why they don't wear white jerseys at home, but Wags mentioned in an earlier post that the starting pitcher decides what uniform is to be worn.

Not that one should advocate drinking the night before a game, but didn't David Wells throw a no-hitter hungover?  ::)

I'm not sure about who designs the Uni's, so I can't speak on their behalf. The starting pitcher sometimes gets the option, usually it's selected by CLP for us.

I have looked around at a bunch of the local stores and online, and cannot find anyone who sells a baseball jersey. The embroidered shirts they sell at the game are ok, but nowhere close to a jersey.

Shoop,

Besides being funky looking the gray sleeve jersey has difficult toread front numbers. While the gold jersey does not have front numbers, its more confusing to be thinking a guy is one player, and then he truns around and is a different player.

I wish we did a white sleeveless vest over a green t-shirt, like the Reds. MO.
