  1. Weather isn't bad. Bit chilly when the wind is blowin', but hovered around 60 for most of the game today. On the bench it wasn't enjoyable, but once you get a sweat going, it feels great. There is still a bit of snow on the ground around here, which really threw me off. Being from FL, I've never actually seen snow in any form. I don't believe Braulio is injured, but I can't really elaborate more than that. We just got back from dinner, and we're all relaxing around the hotel now. For some reason, we're in a hotel ~30 minutes from campus, so no dice on wandering around and getting some pictures. From the parts we've driven through, it's really a pretty good looking campus. The baseball field left a bit to be desired, but I imagine their basketball team overshadows them a tad.
  2. No love from Live Stats for me, eh? ;D Good to get some mound time again... Good game for the whole team, finally putting the offense together. Great job by Otero as usual. On a side note from another thread, Pina is no longer being red-shirted.
  3. UConn is 10-10 (2-1) #9 in the B.East in Hitting (.273 BA), #12-Last in the B.East in Pitching (5.75 ERA)
  4. Just wanted to let ya'll know to make it out to today's game versus FAMU, the start time is a bit early (3pm) for a week day game but I hope to see good attendance. Oh, and by the way, we now have our beer license for those of you who were interested in that.
  5. There was fair attendance to begin the game, mainly due to Yuri's Fan Club They had to leave early because of bed times, I imagine
  6. Engineering Student, C\O 2009. Oh, and RHP for BaseBulls.
  7. I think the warmth helped wake up the bats... being able to feel your hands is definitely a benefit
  8. Tough game. Hotel in South Bend makes us pay for the 'net, so I'll comment back when I get some time.
  9. Resting in TIA before the flight -- we board here soon. Should be in Chicago in a few hours.
  10. Ha.. anything less than a 3-game sweep with 3 shutouts is a disappointment it seems...
  11. Yuri is quite an athlete; he seems effortless out there in CF. He seems to have moved in to a long relief / spot starter role, and plays defensive replacement in CF late in the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a start this weekend.
  12. Yuri always finds a way to make things interesting... Coach Prado and Lazer were cracking up the entire time, and I remember them saying that Yuri got the mvp for the game, despite Q's game
  13. It's OK, he rips us in private forums too. Oh, and to add to your list, there's a solid chance we'll lose D.Thomas to the draft as well.
  14. Whoever does the photos for the website does a **** good job... that, and my OCD collecting tendencies downloaded all of them to my computer.
