Weather isn't bad. Bit chilly when the wind is blowin', but hovered around 60 for most of the game today. On the bench it wasn't enjoyable, but once you get a sweat going, it feels great. There is still a bit of snow on the ground around here, which really threw me off. Being from FL, I've never actually seen snow in any form. I don't believe Braulio is injured, but I can't really elaborate more than that. We just got back from dinner, and we're all relaxing around the hotel now. For some reason, we're in a hotel ~30 minutes from campus, so no dice on wandering around and getting some pictures. From the parts we've driven through, it's really a pretty good looking campus. The baseball field left a bit to be desired, but I imagine their basketball team overshadows them a tad.

Just wanted to let ya'll know to make it out to today's game versus FAMU, the start time is a bit early (3pm) for a week day game but I hope to see good attendance. Oh, and by the way, we now have our beer license for those of you who were interested in that.

Yuri is quite an athlete; he seems effortless out there in CF. He seems to have moved in to a long relief / spot starter role, and plays defensive replacement in CF late in the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a start this weekend.

Yuri always finds a way to make things interesting... Coach Prado and Lazer were cracking up the entire time, and I remember them saying that Yuri got the mvp for the game, despite Q's game

Whoever does the photos for the website does a **** good job... that, and my OCD collecting tendencies downloaded all of them to my computer.

Right now, we have it set up like this: #1 Friday starter #2 Saturday starter #3 Sunday starter #4 Tuesday starter Weekend series are (later in the year) all conference games which are relatively more important, while tuesday games are non-conference games. They try to get on a regular rotation where each day of the week is preparation for their weekend start.

That's a good point, but my situation lends itself to primarily playing for just one year. It's complicated on more than one front. Besides being relatively unathletic, academics have always been priority #1. I'm enjoying this year and opportunity the best I can.

On Mikey's behalf, he has reached base 16 times on his own, including an amazing TEN walks with 14 official at-bats.

Transfer in conference without release = red-shirt.

Lau is no longer with the team. Torcise is a red-shirt transfer from Louisville. Tillett is finishing rehab, and should be a great asset to the team once he returns to the bullpen. Stull is a redshirt as well.

Likely true, but our bullpen has been used before the 7th the past six games, which is why it calculates lower to 1.50. Let us enjoy our moment to shine ;-)

Collin, I can enjoy the nerd curiosities of stat keeping for sure. It's one of my many nerd interest, particularly the tons of cool formulas. I was hoping you could hook me up with a job up there next year so I can stay involved with the club! As a matter of fact, I was interested in possibly looking at the game-by-game stats for last season as compared to this season as part of my end of semester project in Calculus II. I wanted to see if there was anything I could draw out of the data and correlate to wins (e.g. starters ERA, Walks by relievers, on-base percentage).
