It's entirely possible that Woolard could have been making background calls, learning more before he would make an initial call to a candidate. I think both parties are aware the other will be in Atlanta in the next day or two ...

He got arount 800k at Arkansas last year, but will probably be seeing more around 600-650k here. I'm sure we'll hear a lot this weekend as anyone who is anyone in basketball will be in ATL. That POWERHOUSE basketball school. C'mon people, you're starting to reach...You neglect to mention that he has 2 ncaa bids the last couple years... isn't that something we want? And he did it in a pretty good conference. And you neglect to mention that Arkansas made a mistake in firing him, as Gillespie ain't walking through that door. Arkansas AD doesn't even know his phone number and is trying to obtain it via the Nebraska AD. Texas A&M will redo gillespie's contract and he will remain with them. Maybe Ark will find someone good to replace heath... but they definitely jumped the gun on this move. The ultimate goal should be to give your team a chance a the title... make the dance and see what happens. Heath knows how to do that. Also, his Beverly may be following Heath wherever he goes.

He also got a $900k buyout over the next 3 years ( I think) so add that to our $600k and now he is actually getting paid more to coach us than he did coaching Ark last year (if he still gets buyout-not sure how it works when he gets a new job). That POWERHOUSE basketball school. C'mon people, you're starting to reach...That statement in bold shows how much of a dumba$$ you are.You do know that Arkansas was recently named 8th best basketball program of all time by Street and Smith's magazine? http://daresler.net/info/top/basketball-programs/You just look for the most NEGATIVE stuff to say. He was canned at Arkansas because they are a basketball school and were sick of not getting past the 1st round. He would have eventually gotten there, but they weren't patient.Stan Heath would be a STEAL for this school.

Come on! Wake UP! How many more coaches are going to turn us down? Will we even start the season with a HEAD coach? We've got a guy who is, "up for this challenge" and we havn't got on the HORN!?I hope I have to take this back but I'm thinking DW doesn't know his ass from his elbow! If we works anywhere that pays him more than 300K, Arkansas dosen't owe him anything. If he is paid 250K, Arkansas owes him 50K.
