This does impact the coaching search for USF.  Bc it's all a domino effect.  If he leaves for UK, then another top coach goes to UF which means he leaves a program where another up and comer needs to fill in which means another top asst then goes to that school and down the line.  Essentially, it means it further hinders our ability to land someone accomplished.  Especially bc when names start getting tossed out then many of these guys get nice extensions taking them off the trade block and it raises the price for EVERYONE in the coaching search game.  All of a sudden, your $800K is less attractive than it was a week ago.

Donovan is going to UK. he wants to be at a basketball school and Florida will always be a football school.

Uhh... have you been watching college hoops lately?

UF seems to be BOTH a basketball school and football school.

On the court yes...but certainly not off it.

UF, as current National Champions, only sold-out 1 of their 12 non-conf games at home...in their relatively "small" 12,000 seat Arena.

UK draws 23,000 to watch Midnight Madness!

Now which is REALLY a Basketball School?

PS. UF sold very few tix for their first 2 stops in the NCAA...New Orleans and St. Louis.

When UK plays...they practically bring the entire state with them, regardless where they play.

Exactly!  They draw as many people to Midnight Madness as we do our football games!  That's not just in ticket sales, that's people who actually attend the event.  Not too mention they have some serious money being paid for some of those seats by those boosters.  That's before you even start talking alternative donations when the program "needs" something.  This will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Why are we even arguing a freaking INTERNET rumor about Florida, when we have our OWN freaking coaching search going on.

Florida is in the FINAL FOUR, you think their coach is really negotiationg a contract when he's got a chance to make himself one of the greatest coaches ever at the age of 41?

Lets focus on the BULLS!
