He didn't sign an extension last year. He will leave for Kentucky or use them to get big $$ from UF.All of his guys leave this year. I think he does too. They need a guy who has proven himself at an elite level.they just saved $4M on a buyout. not to mention Minn had to pay to get Tubby. they are fishing for whales. Great season at a non basketball school in the Big 12. Pretty impressive. What does this do though for timetables? Could USF hire Marshall, and then UF come in and persuade him to go to UF if Donovan bolts? There are still two weeks to go in the hoops season for some of these schools. I've been saying the whole time that everyone I've talked to here in Mobile says the folks at Kentucky were saying 3-4 years down the road when Tubby leaves. I don't think they actually saw Tubby bolting this early so they'll go after the big boys for right now. JP is young, 38, but it would be a shock if he doesn't end up coaching that team down the road. It will be interesting to see what Billy D does.I'd laugh if donovan goes to Kentucky and then Pelphrey goes to UF and then UF continues to kick ass and here we end up looking like idiots going after guys with histories of failures...
