He's signed through 2016 . . .

We need to continue donating to USF Athletics to pay our coaches. In the next few years with our expected success, there may be some crasy numbers thrown Leavitt's way  :o

Go BULLS !!!  [smiley=GoBulls.gif]

$2.2 Million a year, is what they were saying in January. Is that what it came out as?

Looks like $1.5-million a year, which is good now, but can't imagine that contract staying intact even five years. The buyout is $1-million, which is double Leavitt's right now ...

When the Penn State job opens (probably after 2008) I would think it would be between Tom Bradley and Schiano for the position. Schiano will be getting another raise that year, mark it down.

Yep, PSU will be all over Schiano I would think when Paterno finally retires.  Not sure if RU will be able to compete with the deep pockets of PSU and the facilities they have as well.  Plus its pretty much the face of North East College Football.

Does Schiano have ties to PSU? And do you think he would really want to be first to follow JoePa? Following a legend usually doesn't turn out so good...

Ya he was a grad assistant, then secondary coach from 1990 - 1995. He's very close with JoePa.

I don't think he'll follow, but he will use it to get a NICE raise.

I wouldn't be surprised if Galen Hall follows JoePa.

I just hope Shiano continues making Rutgers a strong team, good for The Big East.

Pumped for that Thursday night game up there, they may be undefeated also.  8-)

Go BULLS !!!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
