Question for you guys.  How has USF historically done since we went 1-A, recruiting class wise.  Where has Scout/Rivals ranked our classes since 2001, or whenever they started ranking us.  What has been our highest ranked class.  Not how they panned out, but how they were ranked on signing day.  Does someone know this history.  Scout now has us a #49, we have fluctuated between #44 and 54 recently on scout.  Thanks.

On Scout:

'02 - Tied for 100th Nationally

'03 - 108th

'04 - 43rd

'05 - 54th

'06 - Tied for 56th

'07 - 49th....but looks to be short a few new Bulls

USF fluctuated due to the Blue Chip players waiting until recently to announce their commitments.

Our 10 3 star players this year are two more than our previous high of 8 set last year.

I wonder why rivals has us so much lower than scout this year.  Not an exact science, I guess.

Outside the top 10 classes it's hard to rank them. However, you also need 2-3 years of great classes for them to mean crap.  Arkansas had a top 10 class last year, but the previous years and this year are not great meaning they'll be average in the SEC West so long as LSU, Auburn, and Alabama keep the talent coming in.

There is a reason why USC and LSU have been able to reload without much of a drop in performance, because they both have consistently pulled in the best classes the last 4-5 years.

Who was considered the 2004 class that got us #43 ranking?

Out of curiousity what were UCF ranking during those yrs?

Think...which of those recruiting services has an USF Alumnus as one for their top recruiting analyst in the Southeast?

Certainly doesn't hurt.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
