Most of he guys back there right now have just as much athletecism as Hill,

I'm going to go out on a limb here and respectfully disagree with that statement ...

plus they hav been playing the position for years.

At least two in the mix for next year are converted qb's, Gachette and Allen.

You are cetainly entitled to your opinion, Triple B....but what has Carlton Hill done so far??  Nothin.  Absolutely nothin.

I didn't say he's actually done anything but as far as being a pure athlete, Hill would be one of the top ones on the team, IMO. I think he'd make a great rb .... if he could hold onto the ball.

Gachette & Allen look to be two guys who will be tremendous safeties.

And both of them are converted qb's just like Hill would be.

Yep....and if Hill wants to ride the pine behind those two guys who have proven themselves, that's fine by me.

Hey...it's a win/win.  If Hill really can be a better safety than either of those two guys (who are pretty stinkin' good), then he certainly WOULD belong at safety.  If he can't beat them out, then he's as overrated as I'm beginning to think he is.  No big loss.

I really like G7 at safety. He does exactly what a safety is suppose to do...HIT. He put a nice lick on ECU's qb. I definitely cant wait to see what he's going to do next year flanked by two of the best corners in the country.

I want to see C4 everywhere on the field. The guy has too much athletic ability to redshirt. We can use him like we did Brian Fisher (****, I wish that guy could of played another year. He made things happen). Let C4 loose on trick plays, decoys, and defense. With the speed he has, he could turn out to be great in nickel and dime coverage.

No doubting Hill's atheltic ability, but there have been dozens....hundreds.....thousands of guys who have been unbelievable atheltes and are just such undisciplined loose cannons (both on and off the field) that they never amount to a "Hill of beans" (pun definitely intended).

I watched Carlton in that JuCo national championship game, and he was still the same undisciplined great athlete he has always been.  He made a few plays, but also made some real bone-headed plays too.  Stuff that won't cut it in the Big East.

I hope he becomes a great one, but I am not sold.  Far from it.  He's still got a long way to go.

That's the thing with this guy.  Great overall athlete but...

Too careless with the ball to be a QB.

Too lanky to be a RB.

Too stone-handed to be a WR.

Too small to be a TE.

Not fluid in the hips enough to be a DB.

It's a very unusual situation.  Where do you put a guy with so much speed and so few other skills?

Use him like a Brian Fisher type.  Everywhere.

Happens all the time.......skinny guy...if you can catch, wide receiver, if you can't corner back.  medium guy, if you can catch, halfback, if you can't, safety. larger guy, if you can catch, fullback or tight end, if you can't, linebacker.  plenty of spots boys, just bring in the athletes.....
