I don't mean to sound like Smazza, but how is a non-BCS school two years removed from going 0-17 having the same recruiting year as us? Is it because their new facilities? Is it because they have a coach that was hired by Notre Dame? What is it? We are doing great but I didn't expect for UCF to do as good as us.

They are recruiting the same places that USF is but due to the current "talent" level, UCF can offer playing time right away.

Plus the facilities.  Every little bit does help in recruiting.  If it doesn't, the big boys would never update their facilities.

Yesterday we were at 291 points and today we are at 207.  No decommits or anything else, just lower 84 points from yesterday to today.  Do not know why.

I understand stars, and I understand the RR system they have, but I do not understand how they value points for specific players, or the "bonuses" they give.

Didn't 3 star Claude Davis decommit today and commit to Toledo?  That may have been why.

Davis is 2 stars (which in and of itself is unusual), and he was still listed as a commit.  Do not think he ends up at Toledo.

In response to his status as a USF commit after his visit to toledo Davis said "nothing has changed"

I have a very bad Dexter McCluster type feeling about Davis, my gut tells me he ends up somewhere else.

Kaunda Hancock's comments to Rivals just add to it...

smoke and mirrors at UCF

I would believe UCF is outrecruiting us if they could actually beat us or win some football games...

I have faith in CJL and co that we are bringing some high quality under the radar athletes

Back to the 84 points.  Too many points (given we have 204 as of now) to be anything other than a 5 star player or numerous other players.  There was a comment that after Ford committed that we did not receive any points.  I wonder if someone accidently deleted Ford's points instead of adding them in.  Just a theory.

Okay so you have an issue with understanding past tense and present tense.  Additionally, you find it hard to believe that events occuring today will have ramifications for the future and not the past.  That is all.

Something is definitely wrong with the current rating.  I mean it has Indiana with one 4-star and two 3-star recruits out of 19 and they are rated above us.  Hopefully Dave Glaser from USF.Rivals and get with them and straighten it out.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
