There was a burb of a press conf / interview on the local news tonight.

Urbanian Meyer said........"I wouldn't have come here if Spurrier hadn't built a great program here.  I'm 43, at my age nobody wants to go where they have to build a program."

WTF?

What a stupid thing to say.  Leavitt was 39 when he started USF's program from scratch.  Who is the more focused coach???????

Thank goodness we have the coach we have.   Levitt not only built up the program, he "invented" it.  Love Coach Leavitt.

GO BULLS.

He has Ron Zook to thank for a lot of those recruits. Ron Zook has always recruited well as he is doing well recruiting at frigin Illinois right now. I would say Ron Zook is a program builder also, but he just cant really coach.

What does Zook promise these kids?

He just got a 5 star WR out of DC to go to a lousy UofI program

Looks to me like each one was a step up.

My guess would be the NFL. He's still 'young'.

Yeah, I don't know how Zook does it.  Eventually his horrible coaching and consistently bad records will catch up with him and he won't be able to convince these kids that they should come play for him.

Zook was born to be a recruiting coordinator, not a head coach.

Zook was always a great recruiter, he was responsible for recruiting a lot of the 1996 Florida Championship team too. The problem is he's had problems coaching. I met Zook at a football camp when I was a kid and he was the nicest coach I have met, completely unorthodox. I hope he works out at Illinois.

He's a great recruiter who if he changes a few things could be a good coach.

It's easy to get places when all you do is whine.   :'(
