All Eastern Carolina has done since the match-up was announced was talk about what great fan support they have and how well they travel.  If they don't bring 10k they should be embarrased.  We'll bring 5-6k.  My guess is that they'll have about the same.  They talk a big game.

isnt usf a bigger school?

why shouldnt usf be embarassed?

It seems to me that there's only one of those top 10 that doesn't play in a BCS conference...

Anyhow, USF is a bigger school, but it's possible that there are more people who have passed through ECU's walls, it having been around longer. I couldn't find any numbers in my short, half-assed search, but it's possible that more than just the size of the University comes into play here.

Edit: We quote 195K to their 120K.

We don't claim to have a large, well established fan base.  It's sad that we don't, I will agree, however we don't proclaim to have a large following.   I think it's on the horizon.

I'm new to the "message board scene" but why do so many UCF flunkies troll USF's board?  Interesting...

It's been around longer, but so what?   USF has been around for 50 years....How many people who graduated from ECU (or anywhere else in 1920, 1930 or even 1940 will be attending bowl games in the 21st century?

How many people who graduated from ECU from lets say 1956-1995 got to watch the ECU football team play... now how many from USF got to see a USF team play?

How many USF 2005 graduates (raw number and percentage of class) purchased season tickets for the 2006 season.

What percentage of students attended all USF home games in 2006?

What percentage of ECU students attended all Pirate home games in 2006.

There no need to make excuses...it is what it is...USF has played 10 seasons of football.

KL,

Is UCF still counting the ten thousand+ hotel clerks, maids, characters, ticket takers, etal from the Mouse Kingdom that take one course a semester at the Hospitality Management school?  UCF has been padding it's numbers since Dr. Hitt came on board in the 90's.  It'll be a bankrupt university before long.
