    I agree and will temper my enthusiasm until I see an official report.  Do we think C. Hill will be able to step in if Groethe goes down?  I know we're probably looking at him as a receiver but didn't he take over for Greco at PRCC?

    I'll be donating today. Was very impressed in B'Ham as were the ECU folks. Not only are they envious of our team but also our Band. I'll be an annual supporter.

    This is a joke, right? Do you think USF will get a reputation because you whiners were offended? I don't think so. Let me remind you that your fans are the ones that were thrown in the paddy wagon on Friday night and that incident made headlines...no, not a headline on a message board but in a newspaper. ECU fans are so delusional...you won't allow dissenting views on your message board and then you troll others' even after you've had your tail handed to you. Worry about your own program and your own fans' reputation. Hopefully they did not have to spend Christmas in jail. Funny how you guys pick and choose what to make an issue of. I think USF will be just fine.

    Ahhhhh....I can tell that this has been a hot topic before. I just noticed while in B'ham and asked my buddies...WTF? Doesn't seem to make any sense to me whatsoever. Now I can't look at a picture or game footage without noticing. It's driving me nuts!!!

    I'm over ECU. They were not a worthy opponent and their fans are delusional. They had many, not a few, fans that were out of line in 5 points as well as the game. They obviously like to revise history and do not allow alternative points of view. This will be the last thought I have of ECU.

    Got back from the game at 4am this morning. Had a blast. Was unfortunately in the middle of the skirmish on Friday night but avoided jail time. Police definitely were over the top. I just finshed reading some of the Boneyard posts and there are many that detail how impressed they were with our Band, Cheerlearders and the interaction of our fans with both groups. I've got to tell you that I was impressed as well. The Band and Cheerlearders/Sun Dolls kept the USF fans in the game and made dump like Legions field and enjoyable place. They deserve a lot of praise for a job well done. Can't wait until next year.

    We don't claim to have a large, well established fan base. It's sad that we don't, I will agree, however we don't proclaim to have a large following. I think it's on the horizon. I'm new to the "message board scene" but why do so many UCF flunkies troll USF's board? Interesting...

    All Eastern Carolina has done since the match-up was announced was talk about what great fan support they have and how well they travel. If they don't bring 10k they should be embarrased. We'll bring 5-6k. My guess is that they'll have about the same. They talk a big game.

    I agree that our market has not stepped up to support this team as they should. However, that does not afford the school to forego basic outreach tactics. A recording from CJL to be used on an "automated dialer" campaign would not take away from game prep. I know of other schools who have done this. I'm not absolving our market of responsiblity but I think the athletic department needs to step up as well. There is low hanging fruit to be picked.

    Hell, they could of had the players divy up the season ticket holder list and made personal phone calls. I've heard that we only have 4k season ticket holders so they could have call every one over a 2-3 day period.

    Would not have been difficult to have an "automated dialer" call all season ticket holders with a "special message" from CJL. There is obviously no thought given to basic marketing tactics. There are no "Do Not Call" rules for folks who do business with you so it could have been done. They need an experienced marketeer to help promote this team.
