Quick question about attendance

I know there's been a thread or two already about attendance, but I was wondering...what are the numbers looking like for both schools just two days before the game. I was only wondering because I keep seeing ECU kids talking about the stadium will be painted purple, and last I saw, they were only a thousand or two tickets ahead of us in sales.

No, the stadium will literally be painted purple. Under cover of darkness, with spray paint in hand, some ECU students are going to do it.

All Eastern Carolina has done since the match-up was announced was talk about what great fan support they have and how well they travel.  If they don't bring 10k they should be embarrased.  We'll bring 5-6k.  My guess is that they'll have about the same.  They talk a big game.

About all we have so far are rough numbers of the tickets sold by each institution,and  a bunch of meaningless BS from the keyboards part of online fans.

Attendance at this point in time is still an unkown.  Only after the turnstiles stop turning and the game has been played will we have better idea of the actual attendance figure.  If that information isn't a matter of public record, then we may never know the actual paid attendance.

I believe "painting it purple" means to win. At least on the back of our student pirate club shirts last year it said "paint it purple".
