Are we not doing well recruiting wise?  It seems like our class is shaping up to be a stellar nonBCS type of class.  We have lots of 2 stars and a few 3 stars while 95% of the BCS teams have quite a few 3 stars and 4 stars.  Seems like we are still a cut below the BCS world.  Any chance we catch up soon?  A few years ago we led all Big East teams in recruiting and we are competitive right now, but if the rest of the conference is beefing up recruiting wise we could get left behind.

we've never had a high ranking in december.  The year we led all the big east in recruiting... we only gained that ranking on signing day.  Prior to signing day our ranking was 20 spots lower.

Wait til feb and then judge the class.  Many things could still happen.

Dont forget we always get only  2 and 3 star players. Were 1 of th best teams in the Big East. Our staff does a great job of finding talent. Some schools recruit the STAR system.USF recruits the actual players. The prime example of this is G.Selvie.Rivals has him listed as a 1 or 2 star 230 pound OL.A RS and a yr later hes one of the best DEs in the nation.

I think that Grothe was actually listed as a two star by Scout.  Rivals may have had him as a three.  High school kids are all just a ball of potential with some showing their potential earlier than others and some showing all their going to ever be (the typical washout).  An imperfect science, at best.

I think our staff is great at spotting talent.  I do not care if an individual player has 2 or 4 stars.  However, statistically, the more stars a class has the better the class will be.  Meaning I would prefer a class full of 3 and 4 star players to one with 2 and 3 star recruits.

I believe that CB Washington from Ft. Myers wasnt highly recruited before he verbaled to us, then he had a huge year and was the team MVP.(the team w/ Devine)

Its still very early in the recruiting game.  Its a Marathon not a sprint.

Do any of you see this USF recruiting class shaping up to place USF in the top 30 recruiting classes nationally?

Top 30 would require us to pick up several 4 star recruits, nothing lower than 3 stars the rest of the way and maybe a 5 star.  So in short, no.
