By their rules, do you have to be a true freshman, or can you be redshirt?  Grothe isn't a true freshman, after all.

Actually CFN is usually pretty good to USF compared to most Online Publications...

If I had to guess anything I would say that this might have been just plain oversight.

Maybe they didn't realize he was a freshman.

It's no oversight.  They also had a list of the 30 best players, regardless of position, listed and Matt was behind the UConn RB there, too.

If I've written it once, I've written it a thousand times....only The Sporting News is dumber about college football than CFN.  It is embarrassing that they have the words "college" and "football" side by side in their name.  Well, all those CFU and EZU grads had to get jobs somewhere....besides Publix, I guess.
