If they happen to sell more, (big if) they will conveniently forget this fact.

I recall last year we didn't even sell out our allotment for Charlotte, and that was our first bowl game period, so be nice. We'll see next week how many seats we sell. By Friday, we should have a pretty good idea of who's going to Birmingham by total numbers.

TX they have gotten the same amount of time as us. Most fans who follow USF football have known for about a week now that the Papajohn's.com Bowl was our destination. Hell, most people going on here have already booked tickets, hotel rooms, and planned their weekend. If we don't bring more fans than them we have no one to blame but ourselves. I don't think it really had THAT much of an impact. The tickets are the easy part, its the hotel/flight/drive that's hard to get people to commit to and it has been pretty much spelled out for a week that we're almost 100% going to Birmingham. It looks like most on THIS board have made their plans. You're going to book your tickets through USF Sunday night, and we still have 2 weeks to get tickets sold...no excuses, especially since no other bowl game is going to buy it. It could have an impact. It might not, who knows, but we will have to sell more in less time, bottom line.

In fact I don't believe I've ever even heard this argument. If the game was Dec 13th maybe. However, 2 weeks is PLENTY of time to sell tickets to the people going to the game.Once again we know where we're pretty much going now, most fans have done the hard part. The easy part is actually buying the tickets. No excuses.
