If USF beats ul or wvu and causes the league to only have 1 bcs team, it would inevitably cost usf 1.5 million in their share of the big bcs payout.  So would we be better off with the money or the win?

Screw the money! I would rather marry a whore off the street than a UF grad. That's my take on the BCS.

The WIN would bring more national attention to USF football than it has gotten in its existence. That would be PRICELESS!!!!

Big wins can help with recruiting especially when both of those teams recruit so well in our state.  Why travel thousands of miles north to play in cold winters when you can stay home and still be able to beat those teams. Winning out would be huge for our program, screw the money.

a win over WVU would only cost us money if WVU beat rutgers.  if WVU loses to rutgers, then Rutgers gets a BCS bowl, and UL can still get one if they were to win out.  Only one of RU and WVU will get a bcs bowl.

Beating UL WOULD prevent them from getting a BCS bowl, limiting the big east to one.

That said... beat UL, screw the money.  As Herm Edwards said... You play to win the game!

And how much did we lose when Louisville beat West Virginia?  Or when Rutgers beat Louisville?  I don't think anyone in Rutgers cares about the great disservice they did to the conference by upsetting Louisville.  I say, win both games, pass Rutgers, and take a big portion of the BCS publicity and money for ourselves.

If the Rutgers-WVU game is still meaningful to us, anyone else up for a trip to Morgantown???

I don't get it. What's the difference?
