I posted this on the other thread about noon kickoffs (since we need to have two  ::) )

This is a stupid argument.  Let's look at this Saturday's games:

12:00 PM  Ball State at #2 Michigan

12:00 PM  Penn State at #17 Wisconsin

12:00 PM  Maryland at #19 Clemson

12:00 PM  Virginia at Florida State

12:00 PM  Pittsburgh at South Florida

12:00 PM  Indiana at Minnesota

12:00 PM  Missouri at Nebraska

12:00 PM  Baylor at Texas Tech

12:10 PM  Northwestern at Iowa

12:30 PM  #7 Florida at Vanderbilt

12:30 PM  Mississippi State at Alabama

Next Saturday's games:

12:00 PM  Cincinnati at #3 West Virginia

12:00 PM  #17 Wisconsin at Iowa

12:00 PM  North Carolina State at #19 Clemson

12:00 PM  #20 Georgia Tech at North Carolina

12:00 PM  Syracuse at South Florida

12:00 PM  Minnesota at Michigan State

12:00 PM  Purdue at Illinois

And there's still a number of games where the time hasn't been set yet.

Last week at noon, there were three Big 10 games being played.  That is more than half of the league.  Noon games suck for attendance, but it helps for TV recognition.

Every school goes through this, so suck it up Bulls fans and get to the stadium early.

Did Iowa add them? I know the Ohio State game was only their second night game ever.

I wasn't sure on most outside of Michigan.

Many of teh schools used to bring temporary lighting for night games, I haven't really followed the lighting situation lately.

The University of Michigan - a stadium that is expanding to 108,000 - has five of their home games with noon kickoffs, with a 3:30 and a 4:30.  They don't have lights at Michigan Stadium, however, so they are forced to play during the day.

Indiana has lights at Memorial Stadium.

THIS IS CRAZY. :-? :-? :-? :-?

We moan and groan about USF and BE not gaining respect that UF, FSU, & Miami and the SEC & ACC get.  Then we want to schedule around youth football and soccer games.  I know that is VERY important, but we have to decide do we want to become BIG TIME football, or just another 2nd or 3rd level program.

At least we are being selected for the GOTW, much bettern than being passed over!!!!!!

I prefer night games also, but this is part of the price to be paid to move up the respect ladder.
