I just wanted to say that I took a tour of the USF athletic facility with my facility management class at Saint Leo and just wanted to comment on how unbelieveable it is.  We toured pretty much all corners of that building and my class was definitely impressed with it.  My ideal goal career is with a minor league baseball team, but if that does not pan out for me, I know I have a backup goal to work with USF athletics.  Special thanks to Steve Horton, who gave our tour.

I haven't toured the new Bucs facility, but I would say yes.

As someone who has never been in the facility... what does it actually have in it?

Locker rooms for all the sports teams

Huge Sports medicine area with top of the line equipment (hot/cold tubs, underwater treadmill)

Very Nice weightroom (i miss working out there as it craps all over the rec center on campus)

Offices for the coaches and people who work in the athletics department

Student athlete academic services (tutoring, study halls)

and a few more things im forgetting at the moment

I'm pretty sure you can - if you want - arrange to get a tour of the place. We had about  fifteen go through there year before last. There were still some minor 'under construction' things but it is exceptionally impressive. The pools with the treamills also have a video capability so the trainer/doc can eyeball the motion of the legs and feet while the athlete is working.  Looked to me like they could do 'bout near anything but open-heart surgery in there. It's one of those things you gotta see to really appreciate.

Note: I was last in the USF facility in the last days before it officially opened. I used to deliver plumbing supplies and such, so I would "wander around" when I had the opportunity.... ;)

yeah when i tore my knee up and had my surgery last winter i had to use the treadmill pool during rehab.  The training room/sports medicine area  and staff is certainly top notch
