The Hoosiers have been hot on the trail of Greg Williams, a 6-2, 205 pound running back from Naples, Fla. Last season as a junior, Williams ran for over 1,200 yards and had 15 touchdowns. His senior season at Barron Collier High School has been no letdown.

Williams said he did not have any favorites up front, but did list 10 schools that had given him an offer: Pittsburgh, UConn, West Virginia, Indiana, Ball State, Nebraska, Colorado, South Florida, Central Florida and UNLV. One name left off of that list was the University of Florida, who is listed as the top team to beat by Rivals.com.

Sorry, the above was from rivals also.

South Florida has picked it up for Pensacola, Fla. defensive end Terrell McClain. The Bulls along with Auburn have shown the most interest recently in the 6-foot-2, 265-pounder and both have even sent a coach to watch him play. McClain claims that there are no favorites, but of the two only South Florida has offered…Lithonia (Ga.) Martin Luther King defensive end Patrick Hampton is receiving interest from quite a few schools including South Florida recently. The Bulls have some work to do though as they appear to be trailing Purdue, Auburn, Georgia Tech and more.

Speaking of October 21st, Naples (Fla.) Barron Collier running back Greg Williams has scheduled a visit to Pittsburgh for that weekend. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder claims to still be wide open at this time.

Larry Freeman would be a great addition.  He went to HS at Fort Meade and is a tremendous athlete.  He played football, basketball and baseball.  He would be a different type of WR for the Bulls than most of our current targets as he's a big strong physical reciever.

Jermiah Warren at DE/DT, David Fonue at DE/DT and Donte Spires at DT.  The first 2 are recruits from last year.  Fonua has qualified already.  Spires is JUCO.

Spires signed a year before in 2005.  He's having a monster season for Pearl River he will be a junior by year with three years of eligibility when he arrives.  He had 18 tackles in one game, and 12 last week including 3 FTL.   Oh, and Spires is an OLB, he's 6-3 235lbs right now.

Larry Freeman would be a huge get for USF.  He's big time, great size, speed, and ability.  Imagine Amarri Jackson with more strength and size and a more polished receiving game.
