In 2002, East Carolina lost to Cincinnati at the end of the season... the loss kept USF from getting a bid to the Hawaii bowl.

In 2005, USF's sixth win came against Cincinnati... the win enabled USF to go to its first ever bowl game.

In 2006, USF faces Cincinnati with 5 wins... a win will make USF bowl eligible again this year...

Our offense is playing well...but I'm still a little weary of Cincinnati...they look like they're going in the right direction and shouldnt be overlooked.

What happened to the confluence?

I think Cincy will give us fits.  Hope I am wrong.

And hopefully with the running game finally emerging (other than Grothe), the FG kicker problem hopefully solved, and of course in Grothe we trust, 2006 will be a repeat of 2005.

I'm actually pretty worried about Cinci.  This is there last chance to step up and get bowl eligible.  If they lose to us their season is over.  They are going to come out to play.

My only hope is that our week off is the following week so week wont try to look forward to Pitt.

GO BULLS!!!

I have stated this in other posts.  I truly believe that UConn is probably the closest thing to a doormat in the BE has this year.  All the rest of the teams, besides the two obvious, are all good teams this year.  This has been evident from the last couple of weeks.  And now we get to start really beating up on each other.

And Kyle, sorry you had to buy your tickets to this game. :(

Guest BasketBull.

Cincy is no pushover. However, looking at things from the Cincy side of it, I don't think they are "happy" to have the Bulls come into town motivated by a possible 6th victory for a bowl bid...

Who in the Big East right now wants to play the Bulls? --NOBODY!

There's no reason to believe that we shouldn't be able to handle cinci this week.  Based on the way we have played in the last two weeks I am confident that we will win.  On the otherhand.......we do have that yearly let down on the road and I hope it doesn't show up sun night.

Play the way we've been playing and we win this one no problem.  Play poorly and we'll lose (ala UCONN 05).
