Grothe has a sprained foot. No problems with the ankle. Said the doctors thought it was with the tendons on top of his foot...they were working on his big toe. He was sore after the game but said he'd be alright.

Thank God. We almost had heart attacks when Grothe went down.  Listening to the post game show, they did too

in all fairness, julmiste was in there for 1 series.  3 plays.  give him a break.  and those people that booed him coming on to the field should be ashamed.  i was VERY worried for grothe and the rest of the season, but Julmiste might very well have improved and just hasnt had a chance to show it.  I'm not saying he should play more, Grothe is clearly the future, but Grothe did start slow too.

for all we know we beat UConn 20-something to 16 with julmiste in there.  still a win, but obviously grothe is the man.

julmiste doesn't deserve the boos though.  and 1 series doesnt say much.

He deserved every single one, and more.

Oh, and it wasnt only the offense, it was the ENTIRE team, the fans, the cheerleaders, the cotton candy vendors, the net crew, the ushers, and the janitors. Everything went flat. We all saw the season flash before our eyes.

Julmiste showed, in 3 plays or 4 plays or however many he played that he's still the worst QB in the 110 year history of college football.

Should he have been the one to come into the game, at that time, yes. But when the game got out of reach, it shouldve been the 3rd string guy and not the guy that we already know gives us a less that 50% chance to win with. What's his career record again? What's his career TD/INT ratio again? Yeah, thanks.

...

So you have no problem with Iron BULLS teling you to shuy the F up and sit down ... you don't give enough $ to help USF reach their football goals ?

PJ has given MUCH more than you have to help USF Football ...

F'n appreciate it.  ::)

:-* P.S. I love your enthusiams and BULLieve you are great for USF ... wish we had more fans like you.

But seriously . . .  :-?

Why don't you go to the sidelines and boo the F outta Servino ?  :P

Was it just me, or did it seem the O ground to a complete halt with PJ in, with no hope of moving ball.

the same slow decision making process is still there

this would have been another 4 win season but for grotheee

Talking about PJ.....Why on earth put Julmist in as clean up QB? What is CJL thinking? Put in a freshman. Get them some free reps. Don't understand this man's thinking.

you are so correct

pj i spasse and cant get it done

get the future qbs ready

give the younger guys the reps

if pj didnt get hurt usf might be 2-4  because grotheee would not be starting qb

if you mean alot of  losses

i cant believe anyone is praising pj as a qb??? he cant play the position.

the jewelmiste era is over and shouldnt be forced back on fans

grotheee has demonstrated to people that dont know the game what a good qb can do so i am befuddled that people still mention pj and qb in same POST.

PJ SET USF BACK  years and the fans that booed know it

interesting take from the peanut gallery on this one

What I saw was PJ (and his name is JULMISTE, not Jewelmiste)

come in and generate 16 yards of production in 3 plays.

The problem was that the holding penalty that started that series

made us start at 1st and 20.

anyway---

here are some pics of the injury-- the more pertinent information

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
